PREFERENCES

Preferences adalah bentuk kalimat yang menunjukkan kesukaan terhadap suatu pilihan lebih dari pilihan lainnya. Bentuk ini biasanya ditandai penggunaan kata prefer, namun ada beberapa bentuk lain memiliki arti yang serupa.

BENTUK-BENTUK PREFERENCES
1. Prefer

Prefer	Noun gerund	to	Noun Gerund
	to infinitive	rather than	Infinitive

example : She prefers apple juice to coffee
                They prefer a riding bicycle to running
                 We prefer to stay at home rather than go out at night

2. Would Prefer
     Would prefer pada dasarnya sama dengan prefer, namun memiliki meaning yang lebih spesifik

Would prefer	Noun gerund	to	Noun Gerund
	to infinitive	rather than	Infinitive

example : She would prefer comic books to nevels

3. Would Rather
     Would rather memiliki meaning yang serupa dengan would prefer, digunakan dengan rumusan

would rather dapat berarti saran, dengan penambahan subjek
